Expectations For Students During Comprehensive Distance Learning

Hello, I'm Mr. Leech.
As many of you already know, we will be starting this school year in what's called Comprehensive Distance Learning, at least until our state meets certain metrics to allow schools to reopen safely. This means that you will be attending classes online through Google Classrooms, but this will be very different than your experience last year. Not only are teachers more adept at using online tools now, but the expectations will be much more rigorous than they were in the spring. Please review the following expectations for online classes. Expect an email sent to your school Gmail account with an invitation to join my Google Classroom soon. I look forward to seeing you on the World Wide Web!
  • If possible, find a quiet place, free from distractions (siblings, pets, parents, televisions).
  • Stay on mute when others are speaking.
  • If you have something to say, raise your hand or put a comment in the comment box.
  • Comment boxes are used to ask questions about the content delivered.
  • Be respectful in speaking and writing.
  • If you are attending a live class, show up on time.
  • Do not record any online meetings.
  • Be patient with others in the class.
  • Attendance will be taken.
