ART 1 051540 (9-10-11-12) Prerequisite: None This is a prerequisite to all other art courses if students have not had art at the high school level. Through a variety of two-dimensional and three-dimensional class projects, students will gain experience in basic principles and skills needed for the more specialized classes. We will explore color theory, design principles, drawing techniques and the creative process. We will also explore areas covered in the more advanced classes so that students will be prepared to make good choices on succeeding art classes. Some art history, as well as careers in art, will be covered.
