Junction City High School 2019 Athletic Hall of Fame Induction

This year’s class includes Craig Lannom former Junction City teacher and coach.  Coach Lannom Was the Head Girls Basketball Coach for 25 years and football Defensive Coordinator for 22 years. His teams appeared in 14 state playoffs finishing 2nd in 1996 and nine times had 20 plus wins in a season and at one point had a 31 game winning streak. Coach Lannom has received numerous recognitions throughout his coaching career.

Bill Carson Graduated in 1956, Bill was a three sport athletes playing football, basketball and baseball. Bill was selected to the All-League First Teams in football and was team captain in football and baseball. He was also a student leader and honor student during his high school career.

Ty Rothenberger Graduated in 1997 and was a four year letterman in football and basketball.  Ty receive recognition from the Sky-Em League throughout his career including First Team Quarterback in football and Co-Player of the Year in basketball. He was selected First Team All-State Quarterback in football and First Team All-State in basketball. Ty holds Junction City scoring and assists records in basketball.

Jason Haddy was a member of two Junction City State Football Championship teams. He was named to numerous Sky-Em Football teams during his four year varsity career including first team linebacker and running back.  Jason was named as a First Team All-State Running Back. 

Jamie Breese Jenson running career includes numerous accomplishments in Cross Country and Track.  She was District Cross Country Champion and Athlete of the Year in 1997 she won District Championships in the 800, 1500, and 1600 relay in both her junior and senior year and was selected as Athlete of the Year in both of those seasons. She continued her successful running career in Division one Cross country and Track

Richard Milne was a football, basketball athlete at Junction City and his teams won State Championships in both sports his senior year.  Richard was selected as Sky-Em Football Defensive player of the year his senior year and was named First Team All-State as a linebacker. Richard return to teach and coach at Junction City and his 2013 team won the Sky-Em League title and lost in the Semi-finals of the OSAA State Championships.

The 1999 Golf State Championship team will also be inducted. That team includes Dustin Degroot, Matt Olafson, Zeke Sexton, Brandon Richardson, David Lund, Marty Moen and Coach Larry Watts.
